We can assist in applications such as bio-sensor mounting & interfacing, flow cells, micro manifolds, mixers, flow heaters & coolers, flow splitters & combiners, switches & flow patching, bead dispensing and preparation.

High performance thermal design is one of our specialist areas. In particular we are experienced in the development of thermal cycling equipment for a variety of applications.

In order to support our micro fluidic design capability we run an in house micro machining facility capable of 1micron accuracy in a wide variety of materials ranging from glass to plastic. We have collaborative links with leading micro tool suppliers and can currently offer channel geometries down to 50 microns. This facility is available in conjunction with our micro fluidic design service or independently to provide a prototyping or small batch manufacturing service.

Small batch manufacturing is available for our micro machining capabilities or for larger components. We will also undertake intricate assembly work requiring high levels of assembly skill.

Working hand in hand with application software packages or as stand alone embedded applications, we can provide a variety of innovative and cost effective solutions.

We don’t just do pretty drawings! When we provide a mechanical engineering service it is to build something, so our drawing style reflects this and all our drawings are CAM ready when appropriate.

In house CAD and CAM packages allow us to quickly present prototype parts and systems for early evaluation and testing. This reduces overall time to market and development costs.

A good working knowledge of the standards and practices that apply to our main areas of expertise saves time and costly mistakes.

Sorry we are not able to assist our clients with their volume manufacturing requirements. We feel this work is better suited to other companies, but we will gladly assist in these projects should our skills be of assistance.

This is something we always build into projects and comes with the package. We have invested in test equipment for in house emissions testing and have several local test houses within easy access for services we don’t yet provide.
